A Bygone Affair
Once upon a time there was a girl and a boy. The girl was in a committed relationship and the boy was single. But the twist was the boy liked the girl, but the girl was clueless about this affection during that friendship. But one fine day, the girl and boy went to celebrate the birthday of a common friend, there she got a clue about his affection towards her, she was skeptical. Hearing his feelings, she felt “He is the one she was looking”. Both were hopeless and helpless in this situation.
If there is a slight chance at getting something that will make you happy, risk it. Life is too short and happiness is too rare. -A.R.Lucas
I guess she knew this quote or whatever but she risked her life and broke the earlier relationship and finally got her happily ever after. Well kind of happily ever after, because things have been so fast in there relationship, she ain’t realized when she became from loving caring girlfriend to possessive jealous girl.
Soon she started fighting and obsessing over every single thing, so the boy helplessly broke up with her for his peace of mind. The girl was shattered.
Jealously is just a lack of self confidence.
But it was too late for her to realize, and every thing happens for a reason. But somehow, she got a second chance all in vain as it followed a trail of breakup-patch up for a year, since she was sure she wants him. She became more determined then ever. Most of the times she failed terribly because life had another plans for her.
What appears to be the end may really be a new beginning.
It was that one point where her life was changing, she soon started finding herself, who is she, what she wants in life and in matter of no time she was recognized for her dynamic nature in her social circle.
Little had changed since then, but only that it been two years since that breakup and the girl & the boy are now on good terms post breakup.
All I want to say is, thanks to that boy who helped her realize who is was, and what was her calling and purpose in life. A big thank you to the boy who helped her become what she is now. It might be offending but had it not been for that breakup she wouldn’t be able to realize her potential. That girl owe you a lot.
P.S: Thank you Ted for everything.
